Website Design and Development Process
Phase One: Website Pre-Design and Development Meeting
The website design phase begins with an initial meeting. During
this meeting, our primary goal is for our webiste design and development
team to learn about your company's image, style, audience and business
objectives.
At this stage you are likely to have multiple objectives for your
website and ideas about what the website should look like. You want
it to be a great marketing and sales tool for attracting new business.
If you sell products directly on your website than you may evaluate
the best way to display your products and conduct efficient order
and payment processing. You may also want your website to be a place
for existing customers to find current information and retrieve
documents.
In this phase of the design and development process we will work
closely with you and your team to brainstorm about all the ways
that your website can accomplish your desired graphical and business
objectives. Once this phase of the process is completed we will
create the best plan to accomplish your new website design and development
objectives.
Johnson Internet Marketing will begin designing and developing
your website once the design and development team has completed
the following objectives.
Objectives for the Website Pre-Design and Development Meeting:
- Identify the objectives for your website
- Identify the target market and their needs
- Establish the intended style and theme of the website
- Develop a preliminary website sitemap
- Determine navigational structure of the website
Phase Two: Website Design Process
The next phase of the design and development process is to create
a series of graphical prototypes. Each graphical prototype will
have an overall design scheme and navigational structure that was
discussed during Phrase One. At this point we encouraged you to
participate in the process by providing us with feedback and suggestions
for detailed or broad modifications to the prototypes. Our design
and development team will then create new graphical prototypes based
on your specific recommendations. We will move onto the next phase
of the process once you are completely satisfied with a particular
graphical prototype.
Phase Three: Website Development Process
Functional Sitemap / Prototype - The first step of the website
development process will be to build a functional sitemap. This
is essentially a non-graphical prototype of the future website that
will serve as an early testing ground for our proposed layout and
navigational structure.
Website Development - Our design and development team creates
the projected webpages and formpages as specified during Phase One.
We will also add in available content or images into your webpages.
Website Testing - Your website will undergo a vigorous testing
period. At this point in the process you will have direct access
to the website and can conduct your own testing. You can also begin
to familiarize yourself with the website usability and functionality.
We value your feedback during this phase so that we can polish,
debug and ultimately launch the website.
Website Launch - Your website is released into live service
on the Internet. We will closely monitor your website to ensure
that no unforeseen issues arise.
Post-Website Launch Services - Johnson Internet Marketing
is always available to answer your questions and assist you with
any concerns or future initiatives that you would like to explore.
